Somewhere near the middle of the year

Tara Delk understood well the white rabbit and now so do I.

The Siesta by Frederick Arthur Bridgeman

Time

Save it,
Savour it,
Can't spare it.

I am a time-aholic.
Don't scorn me
Because I am sensible.
It is important to me.

Four Zones.
Is it noon?
Is it midnight?
Always subtracting,
Racing,
Eluding.
Where does it go?

My mind is the hand of the clock,
Running away from me
Until there is no
More
Time.

Here is to time well spent,
Simone

  5. Hey Simone! How are you? Hope this finds you well.
Time can be precious, short, long, and not a nice person. We must use it wisely or regret it.
    Lovely poem and painting :)

  6. Hello, Simone! I am a new follower and think your site is awesome. Love the artwork and awesome poetry.

Time is on everyone's mind, the rich and the poor, the black and the white, the old and the young. It is something that we cannot escape for it is always breathing down our necks in the shapes of clocks and watches, the sun and the moon, and in our own faces.

If you really want a cool perspective on time, I suggest reading Alan Lightman's Einstein's Dreams. It's an awesome book and a pretty short read.

    Write on!
